1800 BC Archaic Period Camp

The Archaic peoples lived in forests and spent their days hunting, making spear points, and making stone axes.  They did not grow their own food.  Instead, they hunted deer and ate acorns and hickory nuts.  They lived in small villages and moved several times a year.  Archaic houses were made of poles (which were tied together) and animal skins.
