I think that Okonkwo has many character traits. The strongest one that I observe is his pride. I believe that it works both for and against him. I think that Okonkwo is a good character who has compassion, but he is not taught ot show it. I don't believe that through the book Okonkwo does anything that is blatantly cruel and done out of spite or malice. (By the way, I have read the book, however my computer would not pull up the page that had the synopsis, so I'm just discussing throughout the book.) I think that Okonkwo also has alot of braveness in him, he does stuff that other men wouldn't do, however he does this out of pride, to prove that he is somehow better than other men.
