The Silent Boy

Summary: Katy Thatcher aspires to be a doctor like her father in the early 1900's.  Her love of people is evident in her friendship with Jacob, a boy that doesn't speak.  Katy learns to understand the way Jacob communicates, and finds that her young life is changed forever by him.
