Closure Activity

Have students form "Jigsaw groups": two students from A Corner of the Universe group and two students from The Silent Boy group.  In these groups, students are to summarize the book they read and what they learned about friendships with mentally disabled people.

Have students come together as a whole group to discuss what the Jigsaw groups talked about. 

How has your perception of mentally disabled people changed?

How has your definition of friendship changed?
