• Has something or someone ever made you so mad or upset that you just quit?  How did this make you feel?

Page 193-  "I reached in and found it.  I ripped open the package and slapped the patch on the back of my arm.  She reached over and rubbed the side of my face and it was the best thing I ever felt."
• Have you ever taken medicine that made you feel so much better?
• Do you remember a time when your mom, or someone you love, comforted you?  Did this relax you and make you feel better?

Connector Model

I can remember when I have been upset or mad and my grandma comforts me.  She does this many times, especially since I have been in college.  Just talking to her makes me feel better.  If I am working on a project and I am really getting stressed out, all I have to do is call my grandma and just hearing her calm, sweet voice makes me feel better.  She has always been willing to help me, no matter what I ask or what problems I may have.
My grandma reminds me of Joey and his mother.  Whenever Joey feels sad, mad, or just needs to be comforted, he calls his mother and he feels so much better.  Joey gets very angry with his dad and knows that all he has to do is call his mother and she will come pick him up.  He knows she loves him and only wants the best for him, and that is how I feel for my grandma, and she feels for me.  We want to be there for each other and help each other whenever we need help.
