I remember
being a girl scout and trying to see cookies. I never went door to door
because my mom felt it was unsafe, but I did have to call everyone I knew
to try and sell them cookies. This made me very uncomfortable. I always
felt bad trying to sell stuff to people, but I understand that it was for
a good cause. I also remember selling candy bars and wrapping paper for
school. I never competed for prizes or to try and sell the most. I just
sold enough to say that I sold something. I was never comfortable approaching
people, especially to ask them for something. I never wanted to ask, I
always tried to make my mom do the selling for me. I am glad I don't have
to sell anything anymore.
