Passage #1
Page 95 Paragraph 4
First 2 Words: "Remembering the..."
Last 2 Words: "...haunting Caleb."
This passage is an intense passage, because it shows that Kenny is no longer in his world, and that he is a ghost now just like Caleb was in his world.
Thinking Question:
1. Why is it important to know that Kenny is now
haunting Caleb?
This is important because it reminds the reader that Kenny is not in a world in which he feels safe. Even though he is in "his" house, it is not really his house. Therefore, he must be careful of his actions so that he does not change things from his life.

This passage adds a sense of mystery and emotion through
the way that whatever actions Kenny chooses, those actions are going to
result in changing the future in some way. Therefore, it shows the
importance of Kenny's actions.

reader of Caleb's fearless personality, and to show what the sounds and
feelings were like on that street. This passage also provided more
emotion for the story.

First 2 Words: "Fool! cried..."
Last 2 Words: "...the chain."
This passage is a suspenseful type of passage because immediately after reading this passage I want to know what is going to happen next and what Kenny's final decision is.
Thinking Questions:
1. Why does Kenny's decision here have something
to do with the rest of his life?
Kenny's decision about who to kill will change his life because if some thing goes wrong while trying to kill Willinghast, then Kenny could be the one to die, or he could also be stuck in the past for ever.
2. Why did the author include this passage in the book?
The author included this passage in the book to show the reader how much pressure Willinghast and Caleb were putting on Kenny. Also, I think that the author wanted to show how much tension had developed between each of the characters, and the importance of Kenny's decision.
