Josh has taken the gun from his step-father’s cabinet and is trying to load to bullets to go help the dogs.  River Gang had already hurt Ace, Manch’s friend.  Knowing Ace may die made Manch very sad and he didn’t want to move from his bed.  Josh was sure that the other dogs would help him attack the silver dog from River Gang but the others didn’t budge much either.  When Josh decided to use the gun he didn’t know how to use it properly and sent wild shots.  Josh knew he needed help but he didn’t know where to go without getting in too much trouble.  The closest person to him is Wes so that’s where he went.  Wes was surprised to see Josh and that he was asking for his help but he did help.  Wes can’t believe that Josh thought Wes was serious when he told him to take River Gang’s collar.  Wes knew that Josh didn’t know better but Wes also knew that Josh shouldn’t shoot the dog.  Josh ended up getting hurt in the fight because he tried to distract River Gang when Josh starting shooting and fell to the ground.  Wes and Josh both carried Manch to the vet and at that time they didn’t think of each other as flatlander and bully.  Josh had to call Greg to pick him up from the vet and when he did he found out the Josh stole his gun.  Josh knew that he had done wrong by stealing and got in trouble and Greg also knew that he had to change around the key to the bureau to keep the family safe and to keep Josh out of the guns.  Manch on the other hand was ok and Josh was going to try to make some friends, even with Wes.
