Loser by Jerry Spinelli is a heartwarming tale of a youngster named Donald Zinkoff.  The book follows Donald from first grade all the way until fifth grade.   Donald is a student who is not athletic, loves to go to school, is very creative and unique, which makes him different compared to other students he meets in the classroom.  Along the way Donald meets several characters who make fun of him, causing unnecessary bullying situations to arise.  But through it all, Donald keeps his sense of humor and good natured personality.
