Connector: Your job is to connect the book to the outside world. Write a paragraph, connecting one of the following passages from the book to your life or someone you know.

p. 2 “I wish it would stop raining”, he said

p. 6 “If he hadn’t…father and mother”.

P. 7 “I wish …a rock”.

p. 17 “They tried…usual ways.”

I can connect with a lot of things from this book. For example on page 2, when Sylvester wishes that it would stop raining, I could relate. A couple of weeks ago, it was raining and I wished it would stop because I had to walk to class. Other times, I have wished it to stop raining because I had something planned to do outside or I just wanted to enjoy the weather. Sylvester was trying to enjoy the weather when it started to rain.
