The genres of these books is mysteries. The Magic Tree house takes Jack and Annie on adventures to there wildest fantasy places. they are very factual which apply to the realistic fiction.
Launch Activity: We continently are discussing plays in my class right now so I am going to start the Literature Circle unit on Stage Fright on a Summer Night. I am going to read some insert from the Shakespeare book and do a reader's theater activity to get them engaged.
Closure Activity: Write your own mystery. Involve my students in writing a mystery story similar to Jack and Annie's adventures. I will allow them to bring in there favorite book and ask them to create a story that involves them going into their favorite book. Like Jack and Annie do in the Magic Tree House Series.
