Character Traits

 

1.  Happy p. 74 par. 2

Laura was extremely happy to have a new doll that she could barely talk. Her eyes were shining as she looked at her Christmas present.

 

2. Astonishment p. 76 par. 2

Laura held her so tight and didn’t want to let her go. She forgot about everything else around her and just stared at her new doll in amazement that it was actually hers.

 

3. Unselfish p. 78 par. 1

Laura shared her doll with her sister and friends when her mother told her to. She was very glad the doll was safely back in her hands afterwards though.

 

Character Goal:

 

Laura’s goal is to treat Charlotte the best that she can be treated and to play with her all the time and never let her go.

 

Problem:

 

Laura’s problem is that she must share Charlotte with the other girls and not be selfish.

 

Solution or Possible Solution:

 

Laura shares Charlotte with the other girls when they would like to play with her, but can keep Charlotte to herself otherwise. She is capable of sharing and does it unselfishly.
