Modifications for Special Needs Students

• Students can be given more time to complete the reading, either then or later on.  This can be done while the other students are finishing other work or free reading.

• Students can be given smaller sections to read. 

• Students can be partnered up on jobs.  This way, the workload for some students is cut down and they are not overwhelmed by having too much to do.

• Students can receive more teacher assistance with tasks.  Teacher can give a little more help than would otherwise happen.
