• Butterfly House, by Eve Bunting

This book is about a little girl who saves a caterpillar from being eaten by a Jay.  Her      and her Grandpa make a butterfly house to keep it safe.

• Clara Caterpillar, by Pamela Duncan Edwards

This book makes a great Reader's Theatre.  There are many fun and playful characters.  Clara is a cute cabbage caterpillar that may seem different from the rest, but when danger is near, Clara is quite the hero.

• Hallie's Horrible Handwriting, by Valerie Tripp

Hallie is a little girl who loves everything about school except handwriting.  Her teacher, Miss Sparks helps her discover something that changes her mind.

• Insects and Spiders, Reader's Digest Pathfinders

This is a great book for Investigator.  There are many interesting facts about Insects with phenomenal pictures that the children won't be able to resist.

• Joyful Noise:  Poems for Two Voices, by Paul Fleischman

The poems in this book were written to be read aloud by two readers at once.  There is a great poem about butterflies!

• The Butterfly Alphabet Book, by Brian Cassie and Jerry Pallotta

This book is very colorful, providing short amazing facts about all kinds of different butterflies.  Each letter of the alphabet talks about a different butterfly.

• Waiting for Wings, by Lois Ehlert

Lois Ehlert does a great job with illustrations and providing children with interesting facts about butterflies.  In this book, the children will experience a butterfly's journey.
