Launch

When launching this unit one option is to use a K-W-L.  The first column is K-what the students know or think they know.  The second column is the W-what the students want to know.  The L, what the students learned column, is filled out when finished with the unit .

Closure

 There are several characters that were introduced in The Last Safe House.  Some of them were fictional, and some actually lived.  Choose one of the characters from the story and write a letter to them.
