Words, words
EVERYWHERE!
Pick up a few
and start thinking through
where do I want to begin?
If a word strikes a thought
and you have an idea,
let’s jot it down
at the beginning of page one.
Your assignment is to
write your first entry
about the word or words you chose.
Do these words bring a memory,
A thought, or idea?
Or do you need to answer a question that you found in your box?
Whatever you choose, be sure to write LOTS!
Put down what’s stirring around in your mind.
I think you will find,
you have so much to say
you could write in your new journal
ALL DAY!
There you have it my friend,
the beginning of writing,
it starts with the
lighting
of your imagination and creativity.
It’s the essence of you and all you can be.
Journal Invitation
Letters become words, words become thoughts,
thoughts become ideas,
and ideas are the stuff journals are made of.
“You never know how a day is going to turn out.
Some days you wish you’d
never gotten out of bed. Some days you feel like
you’re walking on air. And some days are in-between.
I’m going to keep a notebook for a year, collect a
bunch of days, and see what I end up with.
I’m hoping that if I look at a whole year of writing,
there’ll be more good stuff than bad.”
Amelia’s 5th-Grade Notebook by Marissa Moss
Open your box to see what’s inside….
This is an INVITATION
for you to see,
the power of words
and all they can be.
The words come from you,
from your mind,
from your heart,
or from any other place from which you may start.
Let’s fill our journals with all we see,
and all we do.
Pretty soon you’ll see
the power of your words coming through.
