I POEM

I am a butterfly who lays its eggs on milkweed.

I wonder if I will be eaten.

I hear the sound of the rain.

I see dinner in the flowers.

I am a butterfly who lays its eggs on milkweed.

I pretend I am dancing with the wind.

I touch the beautiful, sweet flower.

I worry there won't be enough milkweed to lay my egg.

I cry because I don't know my parents.

I am a butterfly who lays its eggs on milkweed.

I understand that birds will not eat me.

I say that I will be smart.

I dream I can fly to the clouds.

I try not to cry when I miss my parents.

I hope to have a wonderful life.

I am a butterfly who lays its eggs on milkweed.
