I POEM

I am a butterfly who lays its eggs on milkweed.

I wonder if I will be eaten.

I hear the sound of the rain.

I see dinner in the flowers.

I am a butterfly who lays its eggs on milkweed.

I pretend I am dancing with the wind.

I touch the beautiful, sweet flower.

I worry there won't be enough milkweed to lay my egg.

I cry because I don't know my parents.

I am a butterfly who lays its eggs on milkweed.

I understand I have to fly to Mexico.

I say I am beautiful.

I try to fly as high  as a bird.

I hope I become famous.

I am a butterfly who lays its eggs on milkweed.
