Seasons

I am the quiet beginning of a new year.

I hear the wind whispering through the bare branches.

I see snowflakes twirl and flutter like dancers.

I feel the temperature drop at times below freezing.

I know the days are short and animals are sleeping.

I am the quiet beginning of a new year.

I am the fresh start of life as the earth awakens.

I hear birds singing songs and bees gathering nectar.

I see animals appear from a long hibernation.

I feel the air lose its bite and grow steadily warmer.

I know the daylight will lengthen tempting flowers to bloom.

I am the fresh start of life as the earth awakens.

I am the time of year when all’s in full bloom.

I hear all in nature become fully alive.

I see fireflies glow in the twinkling night sky.

I feel warm, moist air making everything sticky.

I know the days are long and full of activity.

I am the time of year when all’s in full bloom.

I am the end of a cycle that’s come full circle.

I hear the wind rustling through colorful leaves.

I see apples and pumpkins ready for picking.

I feel a new crispness and change in the cool breeze.

I know the days will start shortening with each passing moment.

I am the end of a cycle that’s come full circle.
