Cara was contemplative because she was absorbed in her task of creating another newspaper. She had already begun the thinking process of it all.

Cara was independent because she was always doing something on her own, she kept to herself and did not bother anyone else. In Mr. Larson’s room, she could just sit and read, think, and write.

Cara was determined because she was not going to let anybody run all over her and no one was going to stop her from creating another newspaper, The Landry News.
Character’s Goal:
Cara’s
goal is to create a newspaper dedicated to always telling the truth.
Problem:
Cara’s
problem is that she wrote a trial editorial about her teacher Mr. Larson not
being a good teacher. He got really
upset over this and now the newspaper is in jeopardy.
Solution/Possible
Solution:
A
possible solution for Cara may be for her to apologize to Mr. Larson even
though she is just reporting the truth.
