Discussion Director:  Your job is to ask five(5) "thinking questions."  Come up with two questions on your own that will spark discussion within your group.  Choose three(3) from the following types of questions to ask:  MCEOG, Point of View, Cause/Effect, Problem/Solution, Mood, Setting. 

Passage Picker:  Choose three passages to share with the group.  Write down the page, paragraph, first and last words of the passage.  Also, write down why you chose the passage you did.  Refer to the "Passage Picker" sheet if you need any ideas.  Choose one passage that illustrates a simile.

Character Sketcher:  Complete a character sketch for Ms. Tater.

Word Wizard:  Complete word wizard cards for two of the following words and complete the vocabulary exercises for the words you chose.

1. If you were doing an experiment, what kinds of things would you need to control and change?

The crayon lady, Ms. Tater would have loved www.crayola.com. Click on the link and explore the website.  1.) Click on "Crayola Kids" then "Arts and Crafts."  Write down your two favorite activities.  2.) Click on "Card Creator."  Try personalizing some cards and print one out.  3.) Next, Click on "Games."  Play with a few of them and write about your favorite one.  Why is it your favorite?  What would you change about it?
