The Cowboy and the Three Rancher

The Cowboy and the Three Ranchers

Dear Diary,

As you know I love to ride bulls, and I’m head cowboy around here.  I am the king of all bulls.  The bulls tremble in my sight. Since I was the best that they have ever been.  No one is my friend.  I’ve decided to move south. Is this a good idea ya think?  Well I guess we’ll see.  I’ll move tomorrow.  I’ll start me a new cowboy life with a bunch of friends.

P.S.  Note to self, read this when I say I want to be the best!  Friends are more important.

Dear Diary,

Well Diary, it’s been a while, I moved south since I’d last talked to ya!  I was rid’en me horse and I come across this huge new ranch.  Named “Redneck Ranch the BEST that’s ever been.”   I was like wow this is the place for me!  I smelt some good ole’ home cookin.  Chicken and dumplings I thought, and some corn and peas.  My nose was filled with delight.  My nose led me right to the terrific smell.  Only to find no one around.  The food was still warm?  The place was empty. The seats are still warm too!!  This made me feel very, very lonely.  I thought to me self, I sure am hungry I’ll go ahead and eat.   This big seat looks good, it’s the warmest too.  I sat down to eat the fork was too big.  So I moved to the next big seat.  The food was cold.  So I moved down to the last seat on that row.  It was just perfect, nothing could have been better.

Dear Diary,

Today was interesting.  I moseyed around the Redneck Ranch to find little huts with cozy beds in them.  I found me a perfect one, or at least I thought.  I slipped right into bed, and to only find myself swallard by the sheets.  I had to get up right fast.  I went to the next cabin, and thought to meself, this is just right.  I crept into the bed, since I was still exhausted from the trip.   Only to find that the sheets were too rough for me.  I thought to meself am I ever going to find a bed for me?   The last cabin in the row was a little ragged, but the bed was perfect for me.  The covers were soft, and not too just perfect.

Night Yall,

 Happy Cowboy

Dear Dairy,

Last night was the best sleep I’ve had in years.  It was perfect for me, just the right size and comfort.  This morning I was awoke by a strange feeling of someone looking over me.  I opened my eyes and this little rancher was looking me dead in they eye.  He barked, "what are you doing in my bed?"  "Why are you in my BED?"  "Who do you think you are!?"  All the other three ranchers came a runnin’.  Only to find me trespassin’.  It didn’t look good for me.  I was put in this dungeon cell to be held until they knew what to do with me.  So this is where I’m at.

Night yall,

Sad Cowboy

Dear Diary,

Today is the day.  I’m kind of scared to what may happen.  I have anxious feelings.  I heard a bang, Boy come ere’.   “Yes Sir,” I whimpered.

"We think we may have a competition with you.   Can you ride a bull?" questioned the ranchers.

“No sir,” I denied.  I had the need to lie so they would not change their minds.

“Good,” warned the Rancher.   “So at twelve noon, you and the bull will ride, you win, you stay, if not we send you packin' so fast the only thing you’ll see is a dust trail." exclaimed the ranchers. "Thank ya sir," I said.  "Thank ya."   So all day I prepared for the match.  Concentratin’… thinkin’ of nothin’ but winnin’.  Winning was the only thing on my mind.  Well twelve o’clock is getting ready to roll around.  The sun is in mid-sky.  I’ll fill ya in later.  Hopefully I’ll be back alive.

Good Afternoon,

Nervous Cowboy

Dear Diary,

Yeah, ya’ll knew I was the best that’s ever been.  They were so impressed they gave me a head-ridin’ job at Redneck Ranch.  They said, “boy where you learn to ride like that, I thought you said you didn’t know how to ride?”

“I lied sir,” I told them.

He threatened, “well you better be glad you know how to ride.  Boy cause you just got yourself a spot on our competing league.”  I was overwhelmed to hear him take me in.  To make me a part of his team by just seeing me ride once.  Usually it takes several times in order for people like this to let you in.  I feel like I’m fitting in.  Well see how tomorrow goes. To see if I really will fit in?

Night yall,

Tired, and Ecstatic Cowboy

Dear Diary,

Well the answer to yesterday's question is yes, I feel at home with these people.  Today I even got a bed just like Bo, the third rancher that fit so well.  This bed it just like his but actually this one fits me better than his did.  It fits me, cause they made it all for me.  At dinner tonight, they made a new chair that fits me for me too. I startin' to feel like family, a ranchin' family. I think I’m going to like this place.  This ranch is for me.
