Women's History Month Symposium

Students interested in participating in the Women's History Month Symposium are invited to present papers on the following:

  -Women's contributions to society, broadly-conceived

    -Women's issues

    -Women's health

    -Changes in women's professional roles

-The study of one woman in particular

-Visual or audio projects that focus on women (students will be asked to give a paper that explains the process they used in producing their work).

The symposium is an opportunity for Appalachian State University to celebrate the history and accomplishments of women in society in a scholarly forum.  Any student who has recently completed a project on this topic, or who has plans for such a project in the spring semester, is encouraged to join in this celebration.

Papers (8-12 pages in length) should be submitted to Sheila Phipps, History Department, Whitener Hall, by February 20, 2002.  Please include your name, email address, and phone number.  Call 262-6005 or email [email protected] for more information.
