About the Faculty...
The Leadership and Educational Studies Department would like to recognize the following faculty achievements.
Dr. Gayle Turner had her paper accepted to the Spring 2004 11th Symposium of International Association of Women Philosophers. The title of her presentation is "Human Good: Dignity, Equality, and Diversity". Dr. Turner also had a paper she co-authored with Mary Timothy and Art Quickenton published this Fall 2003 by the American Reading Forum.
Dr. Stephen White had his latest scholarly manuscript accepted for publication in the refereed journal of New Horizons in Adult Education. This piece will be appearing in the February 2004 issue. The title of his work is Adult education and Teilhardian thought: Conceptualizing socialization into globalization. This journal is published electronically and the site will be available in the next issue of LES Perspectives.
Dr. Rob Sanders had his article "Symbolic Interactions in a Virtual Learning Community: Understanding the Creation of Shared Meanings in Mediated Environment" accepted for publication in an upcoming special issue of the Learning Technology Newsletter titled "Learning Communities and Web Service Technologies". This newsletter is a publication of IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Learning Technology. Dr. Sanders' article will appear within the next month or so.
