Beginning this fall in the Department of Leadership and Educational Studies we are pleased to welcome the following new faculty members:

Kelly Clark/Keefe, Ed.D.

Dr. Kelly Clark/Keefe has accepted the position of Assistant Professor for the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership.  Dr. Clark/Keefe completed the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in 1999 at the University of Vermont in Burlington.  She also holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Westfield State College in Westfield, Massachusetts.

Dr. Clark/Keefe's teaching responsibilities include qualitative research methods courses, leadership and curriculum courses as well as opportunities to teach in the Human Development and Psychological Counseling Department and Women's Studies program.  Dr. Clark/Keefe is currently involved in three research projects including designing and implementing a formative evaluation of the Appalachian Arts in Education Partnership.

Dr. Clark/Keefe's many credits include journal articles and paper presentations at meetings of organizations such as the American Educational Research Association the Annual Curriculum and Pedagogy Conference, the International Conference of Women in Higher Education, and the Ethnography in Research Forum.  Dr. Clark/Keefe enjoys drawing and painting.  Her favorite activities include running, cross-country skiing, hiking, and riding horses.  She and her partner Mark love to travel and look forward to having their new son Cassidy accompany them on future sojourns.
