About the Faculty...
This summer 2001 has been a productive one for a number of our faculty.
Hunter Boylan, Ph.D. and Barbara Bonham, Ph.D.
The National Center for Developmental Education, under the direction of Dr. Hunter Boylan, had a banner summer with the Kellogg Institute. Dr. Barbara Bonham was a major contributor and senior researcher for the institute and was active in presentations throughout the summer representing the Center and Kellogg.
E. Michael Sutton, Ph.D.
Dr. Michael Sutton was nominated and served as a faculty mentor for the NASPA/SACSA Mid-Managers Institute at The College of William and Mary; invited presenter for the Alpha Leadership Academy at Johns Hopkins University; invited presenter for the SACSA Diversity Drive-In Workshop; and faculty advisor and presenter for the Kellogg Institute.
Gayle Turner, Ph.D.
Dr. Gayle Turner has agreed to serve as Professional Core coordinator and chair the Core Advisory committee for the academic year 2001 - 2002. The role of the Coordinator insures that the Professional Core remains as the focal point for all undergraduate teacher education programs.
Linda Veltze, Ph.D.
Dr. Linda Veltze was a major contributor to the North Carolina Comprehensive School Health Training Center's grant relative to preventing HIV, STD's and teen pregnancy among American Indians in Robeson County. This was as a result of Linda's work with the Lumbee tribe.
