Forum 5: Can you
explain Simpson’s Paradox?
In my paper on
longitudinal achievement trends, I gave an example of Simpson’s Paradox. Using
Figure 5 and the data given in Table 5, can you explain the paradox? As in Forum
3, you can work individually, in groups, or both. You may be able to gain
insight from each other. I will provide the explanation after most of you have
