| A collaborative project between Asheville High School, North Buncombe High School and the UNCA Department of Education that engages 11th grade honors U.S. History students in an investigation of warfare and its impact on shaping North Carolina's politics, society, and culture. |
| During the Fall semester of the 2001-2002 academic year, high school students will utilize historical artifacts and technology for gathering, understanding, analyzing and evaluating info related to war and society. The theme of warfare will be examined throughout 12 units of study which align with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and North Carolina technology competencies. Students from an urban and rural high school will conduct inquiries through a website discussion and cooperative learning groups. |
