	Design your own unsinkable ship and write about the attributes that the ship has that causes it not to sink.
	Have students write a report on a lab experiment. They can include graphics or charts that go along with their findings.

Spreadsheet:

	Plant seedlings and measure their growth over a certain period of time. Put your information into the spreadsheet and then create a chart or graph that labels the growth pattern of the plants. Have students come up with 5 questions that they want to answer from the project before you start and see if your graph was able to answer their questions at the end of the assignment.
	Create a spreadsheet that goes along with a unit on weights and measures. The students can come up with formulas that will do the conversions of various weights and measures.

Database:

	Animals: where they are from, adaptations to the environment, what they eat. Use this to discuss why animals need certain characteristics to live in various places. Create a new animal.
	Have students research inventors over the past 100 years from all over the world. Create a database that lists the names, countries, inventions, dates, etc. Have students discuss how those inventions came about due to what was happening at that time and the resources that were available. Also see if there is any correlation on how inventions follow each other.

Multimedia:

	Create a presentation to inform others of the various types of weather. You could include charts and graphs that you have created within database and spreadsheet programs as well.
	Assign each student a slide on a part of the human body. You could have one slide for each system, (digestive, skeletal, and circulatory) or you could have a presentation for each one. For example: one slide for each bone in the skeletal system.

	Create a discussion on e-circles for class to pose and answer questions that they have about class material. The site address is http://www.ecircles.com
	Find some relevant web sites that go along with your curriculum. Create clues and send your students on a scavenger hunt to find the answers to the clues.
