FDN 5220: Computers in Educational Settings

EVALUATION

Ways you will be evaluated in this course:

1. Participation.  You are expected to participate in all course activities.  These include: class discussions, online discussions, group activities, and project development.

2. Assignments.  The assignments in this course are designed to provide you with guided and independent practice.  You are expected to complete each of the assignments at the agreed-upon times.

3. Projects.  The mini projects are intended to demonstrate the sum of your newly-developed skills in designing and evaluating computer-based learning tools/activities for educational settings.  The projects are an integral component of this course - and your development - and each student is expected to complete each project (the topic and scope of which are mutually agreed upon with the instructor) before a grade will be issued for this course.  I will stop short of saying you are required to work in groups/teams to complete this, but I will really bug you about it if you work alone! :)

4. Case Studies. The case studies are chosen to assist you in developing analytical skills in determining critical and important questions that must be addressed in using technology to create new learning environments.Your input and participation will be reflected in your evaluation.
