The main question that you will be using this chart for will be when the passage picker asks what kind of passage it is. You will choose from 18 (above) and tell why you chose that type.

 MThe first two and last two words have been written down so that                   you can find the passage with ease in the book.

 MYou will choose from the 18 passage types and tell why you chose that type.

 MNext you will answer a question about the passage

 MFinally you will answer one of the two questions:

"Why did the author include this passage in the story" or

          "What does the passage add to the story?"
