This is a great book. So far in this book we have met John "Crash" Coogan. He has a mother, a father and a little sister named Abby. Abby just loves nature. She spends most of her days, even when she was four, playing with insects and other little creatures. Crash is big on football. He is the star running back for his football team. That is what he looks forward to every year. He has a best friend named Mike Deluca. Mike is just like Crash. They get into all types of trouble and they like picking on this other kid named Penn Webb. Penn is a Quaker. He seems like a real nice guy, just different from the other kids. Penn is picked on continuously by Crash and Deluca, yet Penn doesn't let that get to him. He just moves on with a smile on his face.
